The Antiques and Monuments Office (AMO) had completed research on the heritage value of the Ex-SSPSR. Having examined the value of the service reservoir based on the prevailing six assessment criteria, the grading of the Ex-SSPSR was confirmed as Grade 1 historic building status on 10 June 2021.
After completing the required strengthening and improvement works, and ensuring the structural safety of the Ex-SSPSR, the WSD would allow restricted opening of the service reservoir for visiting by the public in form of guided tours. Through the guided tours, WSD would collect participants' opinions on the long term rehabilitation and revitalization options for the service reservoir.
We were commissioned to develop the online booking system of the Ex-SSPSR Guided Tours and completed the project within two months. Adopted mobile responsive design, the online booking webpages and the back-end system is hosted on the server of Government Cloud Infrastructure Services (GCIS) under OGCIO, and conformed to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA web accessibility standard. Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and Security Risk Assessment and Audit (SRAA) by qualified independent third party was also arranged prior to the production launch of the system.
